Due to growth, our client, one of the leading corporate service providers in Malta is looking to recruit a Technical Accountant.

 

General Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage engagements related to technical accounting matters, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance and interpretation of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAPSME) and regulatory requirements to clients and internal teams.
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex accounting issues and emerging accounting pronouncements.
  • Advise clients on accounting treatments, financial statement presentation, and disclosure requirements.
  • Assist clients in the preparation and review of financial statements, including technical accounting memos and position papers.
  • Stay updated on emerging accounting and regulatory issues to identify potential areas of service expansion.
  • Foster a culture of learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the Fenlex Accounting team.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate training programs to enhance the Fenlex Accounting team’s technical expertise.

The chosen candidate must be able to demonstrate skills in all technical aspects of client accounting.

Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAPSME), and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated expertise in complex accounting issues and financial reporting matters.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously

Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Education + Experience

Candidates must be educated to University Degree standard and ideally holders of the ACCA

University degree in accountancy or ACCA qualification

Proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
